Talent & Industry for Internationals

At IFA, we believe it’s essential to give emerging film talent the space to grow. Through our Talent & Industry Programme, we offer young and early-career filmmakers the opportunity to expand their knowledge, sharpen their skills, and grow their professional network.

From 5 to 8 March 2025, you can take part in inspiring masterclasses, hands-on workshops, and meaningful conversations with professionals from across the film industry. Be sure to sign up in time, spots are limited for each programme section.

Please note that most sessions within this year’s Industry Programme will be conducted in Dutch. However, the Masterclass Audience Design will be held entirely in English. This makes it particularly accessible for international filmmakers and professionals who would like to take part in the programme.

NPA+ and New Noardic Wave present: Masterclass Audience Design

Saturday 7 March | 15.00 - 17.00 | Cursusruimte

Nicolò Gallio is an Italian consultant and researcher specializing in Audience Design within the audiovisual sector. In this masterclass, he will demonstrate how to strategically develop audience engagement, identity, and impact from the very first stage of a film idea, and how this approach can strengthen your project’s distribution and financing opportunities. The masterclass will be held in English.

New this year: New Producers Academy

The New Producers Academy kicks off its producer development programme, NPA+, at IFA. In collaboration with New Noardic Wave, they are organizing several public workshops as part of the Industry Programme.

New Producers Academy is a unique initiative, founded in response to the lack of diversity within the Dutch film landscape. With the aim of creating a more sustainable and inclusive film industry, NPA supports and empowers filmmakers from underrepresented backgrounds through development programmes that help them bring their unique, unheard stories to the screen.

NPA brings together emerging producers from underrepresented communities who are passionate about authentic storytelling and creating lasting change. Over time, NPA has built a close-knit community and launched multiple successful careers. By investing in a new generation of producers, NPA strives to contribute to a more inclusive film sector in which a broader range of perspectives is represented.
