Amanda Seyfried delivers a powerful performance as the uncompromising leader whose beliefs in gender and social equality inspired fierce devotion among her followers.

The Testament of Ann Lee traces both the ecstasy and the hardship of Lee’s utopian vision through Shaker song and dance, transformed into striking choreography by Celia Rowlson-Hall (Vox Lux), with original music by Daniel Blumberg (The Brutalist). The result is a sensorial portrait of faith, community, and conviction.
